Latin America Takes U.N. Stage to Pressure World to Act on Venezuela

Latin American leaders called on the international community to find solutions to the crisis in Venezuela during the United Nations General Assembly this week, as Nicolás Maduro’s socialist dictatorship continues to preside over the most serious political and economic crisis in the region.

Spanish Pop Icon Stalks U.N. Human Rights Chief, Demands Action on Venezuela

Spanish actor, artist, and pop icon Miguel Bosé – a household name in Latin America for decades – has launched a pressure campaign to elicit action from U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet that culminated with the singer storming the hotel housing her in Mexico on Tuesday, demanding she break her silence on the crisis in Venezuela.
