Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) head Morton Klein expressed outrage after Florida Agriculture Commissioner and Democrat candidate for governor Nikki Fried compared her potential general election opponent Gov. Ron DeSantis to Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, calling her remarks “the ugliest hate speech I’ve ever heard” while urging for her immediate resignation.
Kimberly Guilfoyle, the national finance chair of the Trump Victory Finance Committee, expressed confidence in the support President Trump has in battleground Florida, citing the influx from Latinos, as well as the “invaluable” help of Trump ally Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) — help she believes will “keep Florida red.”
Florida Republicans believe the Sunshine State will fall into President Trump’s column and help him secure a second term, but much of that confidence stems from significant efforts to boost voter registration for Republicans, as well as Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) unwavering support of the president and his fundamental understanding of governance. Helen Aguirre Ferre, Executive Director of the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF), credited the governor for having the foresight to “prepare and pave the way” for what they hope is another Trump victory in Florida.
