(AP) – Mike Leach, the gruff, pioneering and unfiltered college football coach who helped revolutionize the passing game with the Air Raid offense, has died following complications from a heart condition, Mississippi State said Tuesday. He was 61.

Mike Leach had one of those moments of recalling his favorite Halloween candy and the many warm nostalgic memories they bring.

Samuel Westmoreland, 18, a freshman offensive lineman at Mississippi State University, died on Oct. 19, according to reports. Westmoreland’s death occurred only two days before his 19th birthday.
