Selfie Stick, Pizza Platter Used to Subdue Palestinian Terrorist

PETAH TIKVA — A selfie stick. An umbrella. A guitar. Nunchucks, and now, a pizza platter. Shlomi Madar added the heavy wooden saucer to the growing list of obscure objects used to subdue (or just slow down) terrorists over the past two years, when he went after a stabber outside his pizzeria in Petah Tikva, outside Tel Aviv, late Monday morning.

U.S. Embassy in U.K. Contradicts President Trump on London Mayor

United States Acting Ambassador at the U.S. Embassy in London Lewis Lukens commended London Mayor Sadiq Khan on Sunday, the day after another terror attack on the United Kingdom left seven dead and many more injured, and just hours after U.S. President Donald Trump had tweeted criticism of the London Mayor.

Texas Senate Votes to Wipe Out State Refugee Office

The arrival of refugees in the Lone Star State, most particularly Syrian refugees, has been a source of consternation for Texans and the state’s Governor. Activists pushed back against Governor Greg Abbott’s order to stop the state from helping to resettle Syrian refugees. The Texas attorney general filed suit against the federal government. Now the Texas Senate has voted to eradicate the State’s refugee office.

State Dept. Reaction to Terror Attack Contradicts Obama, Kerry, UN

The U.S. Department of State referred to the site of Sunday’s Palestinian terror attack against Israeli pedestrians as “Jerusalem,” even though the attack — which killed four Israeli soldiers — occurred in the neighborhood of East Talpiyot, which the Obama administration officially considers a “settlement” in the “occupied” city of “East Jerusalem.”
