Moms Demand Pressures Target to Ask Law-Abiding Customers to Leave Guns at Home

The Michael Bloomberg-funded anti-gun group Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is preparing to launch a campaign aimed at pressuring Target into barring law-abiding citizens from carrying guns in its stores.

This comes after Open Carry Texas posted pictures online of members carrying AR-15s and AK-47s inside a Dallas-area Target.

It also comes after Moms Demand campaigns against Jack in the Box, Chipotle, and Starbucks resulted in company-issued requests that law-abiding citizens not bring their guns in the respective stores. Although none of these were outright bans, Moms Demand claimed victory because a request to not carry guns was issued.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Target is the next target.

Spokesperson Erika Soto Lamb says Moms Demand is doing this because “Target is a place [moms] takes [their] children to shop,” and Moms Demand has been “disturbed” by some of the “gun extremists.”

Ironically, on April 27 Breitbart News reported it was Soto Lamb who defended the leadership of her gun control group for using armed security. They benefit from guns, but they want Target to be sure customers are unarmed.
