Obama to Republicans: 'Stop Just Hatin' All The Time'
In Kansas City today, President Obama complained that Republicans continued to oppose his agenda in Congress.
“C’mon and help out a bit,” he said, addressing the GOP. “Stop bein’ mad all the time. Stop just hatin’ all the time. C’mon, let’s get some work done together.”
Obama said that he still had a lot of work to do, including spending on roads and bridges, resources for fighting wildfires, and addressing the border crisis.
“I know they’re not that happy that I’m president, but that’s ok,” he added. “I’ve only got a couple years left, let’s get some work done. Then you can get mad at the next president.”
Obama also mocked Republicans for preparing to vote to sue him for taking executive actions.
“They’re mad because I’m doing my job,” he said, calling the lawsuit a “political stunt,” “The only reason I’m doing it on my own is because you’re not doing anything.”
