Saudi King Gave Hillary Jewelry Worth $500K

During Hillary Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State, she received $500K in jewelry from Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The Hill described the gift as “white gold jewelry with teardrop rubies and diamonds containing a necklace, a bracelet, earrings and a ring.”

The gift gained attention in the August 30 publication of a 2012 list of gifts in the Federal Register.

The Register also lists gifts given to President Obama, none of which came close to the value of the jewelry given to Clinton.

Such gifts are usually turned over the National Archives and Records Administration or the General Services Administration (GSA), but gift recipients also have the option of paying for the gifts and keeping them in their personal collections. Clinton’s jewelry “is pending transfer to the GSA.”
