Mansour: The Olympic Gold Medal for Sucking Up to a Murderous Totalitarian Regime Goes to…

There’s a new competitive sport at this year’s Winter Olympics in South Korea. Its participants are members of the establishment media. Their aim: to suck up to the despotic regime in North Korea. The gold medal goes to the most ingratiating and morally obtuse totalitarian ass-kisser. And though the games have just begun, I think I know who the winner is.

Mansour — The Premature ‘End of History’: the Fall of Soviet Union in 1991 and the Rise of China in 2017

When the Soviet Union collapsed on December 26, 1991, foreign policy pundits were eager to embrace Francis Fukuyama’s “End of History” argument that the world – now in tune with peaceful victorious American ideals – would be concerned henceforth with “economic calculation, the endless solving of technical problems, environmental concerns, and the satisfaction of sophisticated consumer demands.” But we know that not everyone around the world was, or is, eager to embrace Western liberal democracy. In fact, just about every other country has its own ideas as to how it should operate, and these ideas have little, if anything, to do with the theorizing of American savants. One such country is China.

Grassroots Group Urges Major Retailers to Say ‘Merry Christmas’ Again

President Donald Trump famously declared that “we’re saying ‘Merry Christmas’ again.” With Christmas less than two weeks away, however, numerous major retailers have decided to forgo saying “Merry Christmas” altogether or are sticking with the politically correct “Happy Holidays” greeting. But a nonprofit group dedicated to combatting political correctness and protecting religious freedoms is fighting back with a new initiative called Bring Back Christmas. Their goal: urge retailers to return Christmas to its rightful place in American culture.

In a USA Today op-ed, #NeverTrump Z-list celebrity and Beltway PR consultant Kurt Bardella (who, by the way, would like everyone in America to remember that he once worked for Breitbart News before flouncing off in a cynically self-serving pantomime of political courage during the 2016 election) has finally announced that he has become a Democrat.

Mansour: Five Reasons Why George W. Bush Is the New Jimmy Carter

Former President George W. Bush appears to have discovered a new pastime: virtue-signaling. His latest target is President Trump. 43’s quest for a post-presidential-image rehab is starting to resemble that of another failed-president-turned-full-time-virtue-signaler, Jimmy Carter.

Former Bush Aide Michael Gerson: ‘Time to Panic’ About POTUS; WaPo Explains How Trump’s Cabinet Can Remove Him

Washington Post columnist Michael Gerson, a former senior aide to President George W. Bush, urges Republicans to join Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) in publicly raising two questions: “Is Trump psychologically and morally equipped to be president? And could his unfitness cause permanent damage to the country?” If they agree with Corker, then Gerson exhorts them to act on their convictions.
