Reverend Al Sharpton told the media to “quit playing with matches in Baltimore” in a speech on Thursday.

Sharpton referenced his confrontation with the Fox News Channel’s Leland Vittert, saying, “when we were just walking in here now, in the church, one reporter [stuck] his mic in her [Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake (D)] ‘I’m with Fox News, you going to answer?’…and starts falling back like somebody pushed him. He’ll be on tonight like we hit him or something, I’ll tell you right now, just watch the circus tonight. Like somebody hit him, he starts falling back and boom, boom. It’s play-acting.”

He added, “times are too serious to play them games, because you try and incite a reaction and cover the reaction. The media needs to be responsible, quit playing with matches in Baltimore.”
