New Ebola Patient Was on Flight Day Before Reporting Symptoms

AUSTIN, Texas — As news broke Wednesday of a second health care worker reported to have contracted the deadly Ebola virus from Thomas Eric Duncan, a shocking detail emerged: she was on a plane on Monday, the day before she reported symptoms. WFAA is reporting that the health care worker’s name is Amber Jane Vinson, age 29. Vinson was originally from Ohio and worked at Texas Presbyterian Hospital, just like Nina Pham, the nurse who also contracted Ebola from Duncan and was the first patient known to have contracted the disease on American soil.

As CNN reported, Vinson was on Frontier Airlines Flight 1143 from Cleveland to Dallas/Fort Worth, which landed at 8:16 p.m. CT Monday. The flight had 132 other passengers on board and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking to interview them all now. Vinson reportedly did not show any signs of illness while on the flight.

The CDC will hold a news conference at noon Central Time to discuss these latest developments.

Breitbart Texas will continue to follow this breaking news story.
