In response to WH Deputy Press Secretary Tweets WWII Memorial ‘Ransom Notes’:
The Senate Majority Leader demonstrated on Twitter why he has earned the nickname, “Dingy Harry.”
Via Twitchy:
Thanks to the Republican government shutdown, a group of World War II vets had to break down barricades to visit a memorial in their honor.
— Senator Harry Reid (@SenatorReid) October 2, 2013
This after Reid rejected the House GOP’s piecemeal legislation to fund the National Park Service, part of the Department of Veterans Affairs and operations for the District of Columbia, calling it a “wacky idea.”
Now we hear that 80 -90 year old WWII veterans are being threatened with arrest if they try to cross the barricades!
As WH Deputy Sec, Eric Schultz suggested earlier today, all this could stop if the GOP would just do what the White House wants.
