ESPN’s Cowherd Calls Out Blogs for Adding Unsaid ‘F-bomb’ to Seinfeld PC Remarks

On his Wednesday show, host of ESPN Radio’s “The Herd” Colin Cowherd reacted to blogs adding vulgarity to their headlines and misquoting comedian Jerry Seinfeld, who discussed the political correctness of college campuses on his show last week.

One example included Entertainment Weekly, which added the “f–k” to their headline citing Seinfeld. However, it was never said by Seinfeld.

A baffled Cowherd said he could not believe that Internet blogs have started making up words just for clicks, especially on someone like Seinfeld that does not use such profanity in his act.

“They don’t even know what they’re talking about,” Cowherd said. “He didn’t say, ‘They don’t even know what the hell they’re talking about.’ They just put the ‘f’ in there. It’s amazing. He didn’t say that, but this is what the internet media has become: add vulgarity and stir. Get the clicks. It’s amazing. It’s like lazy. Just make it up! Make up words! It would be one thing if they made up a word like ‘and’ or ‘the,’ but when you throw a guy that doesn’t use that word in his act, like that’s not who his act — he is the one comic that doesn’t use vulgarity, then they add vulgarity.”
