House Candidate Clay Aiken Wanted to Punch Ann Coulter in the Face

Democrat and “American Idol” runner-up Clay Aiken is running to unseat Rep. Renee Ellmers in North Carolina’s 2nd congressional district and has also scrubbed his Twitter account of his public desire to punch conservative columnist Ann Coulter in the face.

“Anyone else watching Piers Morgan want to punch Ann Coulter in the face,” Aiken wrote in a tweet in October of 2012.

SooperMexican, who reconstructed and posted the tweet, writes:

It’s so funny how liberals look the other way when a Democrat is caught advocating violence on women that I thought I’d give them another chance to show their hypocrisy by uncovering a deleted tweet from their favorite congressional candidate in North Carolina – Clay Aiken!

Thus far, I’ve seen nothing in the mainstream media about Aiken’s desire to assault a woman. SooperMexican also points out that when BuzzFeed reconstructed Aiken’s deleted tweets, somehow the left-wing outlet missed the Coulter one.

When an obscure Republican Senate candidate named Todd Akin said something dumb about rape, the media attacked him, Romney and the GOP straight through to election day in 2012.

It is a safe bet that this particular Akin will get a total pass from the very same objective, unbiased, and not-at-all-liberal media.

ADDED: Sooper says he found examples of Aiken calling on his fans to call Coulter the “C-word.”
