New video footage of Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence pole dancing and crawling around on a strip club stage has emerged after the actress took to her Facebook page last week to defend her dance at the birthday party outing.
According to the Daily Mail, the 26-year-old Passengers star ventured out to the Beverly Hills Club in Vienna, Austria last month during a break from filming her latest movie, the CIA spy thriller Red Sparrow.
Lawrence was captured on video wearing a crop top and ripped trousers, as she swung around a stripper pole onstage.
Putting on quite the show, Lawrence was seen dancing with a group of friends and at one point apparently bent over on hands and knees to grab a fistful of cash, with which she appeared to slap her own backside.
Radar Online published the video of Lawrence last week. The Internet tabloid said it was shocked that “America’s sweetheart” was captured acting “like a low-rent gogo dancer in a Euro-trash strip club.”
However, in the wake of some social media backlash, Lawrence said she is not ashamed of the video.
“Look, nobody wants to be reminded that they tried to dance on a stripper pole by the internet,” the actress wrote in a post to her Facebook page. “It was one of my best friend’s birthdays and I dropped my paranoia guard for one second to have fun. I’m not going to apologize, I had a BLAST that night.”
Seeming to respond directly to Radar’s report that she had danced around in her bra, Lawrence wrote: “That’s not a bra it’s an Alexander Wang top and I’m not gonna lie, I think my dancing’s pretty good. Even with no core strength.”
Lawrence was in Vienna filming Red Sparrow, a Cold War thriller, from director Francis Lawrence, that sees the actress playing a Russian ballerina-turned-spy.
