Posters Mocking Jerry Brown: 'If It's Brown Flush It Down'

Politics can be dirty, but also funny. For example, see some guerrilla political street art in California. Poster art making fun of Governor Jerry Brown appeared in Los Angeles on utility boxes and cables near Paramount Studios, the Hollywood Bowl, and Venice Beach.

The posters, showing Brown’s face in a toilet bowl, say: “If it’s Brown, flush it down.”

Brown is running for re-election against Republican Neel Kashkari.

Similar posters in L.A. of Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) surfaced recently as well, calling the California representative a “Poverty Pimp.” Along with dollar signs in Waters’ eyes, behind her image, the phrase, “N*gg*s Better Have My Money!” is repeated. Local activists are calling for an investigation into the posters.

Across the country, poster art of Sen. Jean Shaheen (D-NH) was also found on garbage cans and utility boxes in Manchester, New Hampshire with the words “Quarantine Shaheen” on the image.
