Jason Statham burns, blasts bad guys in ‘Beekeeper 2’ teaser

Oct. 15 (UPI) — Amazon MGM Studios released the teaser trailer for The Beekeeper 2 on Thursday. The film opens in theaters Jan. 15.

Wallace Westwyld (Jeremy Irons) returns to ask Adam Clay (Jason Statham) to battle rogue Beekeepers. Westwyld was the head of security for President Danforth, whom Clay took down in the first film.

Clay was a Beekeeper himself, an elite CIA assassin. Pom Klementieff plays one of the rogue Beekeepers and stabs a man in the crotch.

Beekeeper 2 equips Clay with new toys like a Dodge Super Bee outfitted with a Gatling gun. In another scene, Clay fights a beekeeper with a flamethrower and turns his opponent’s weapon against him.

Timo Tjahjanto directs The Beekeeper 2. Kurt Wimmer returns to write the script, this time with Zak Penn.

The Beekeeper opened in January of 2024. UPI praised it in its review for its outrageous action.
