Oct. 13 (UPI) — Turner Classic Movies announced Tuesday that it will devote a night to the late Eva Marie Saint. On Oct. 25, the network will show five of Saint’s movies and a video of the actor’s 2014 appearance at the TCM Classic Film Festival.
Beginning at noon ET, TCM will show Raintree County, All Fall Down, 36 Hours, Eva Marie Saint: Live from the TCM Classic Film Festival, On the Waterfront and North by Northwest.
Saint died Oct. 6 at age 102. On the Waterfront was her first film and Oscar-winning role as the sister of a murdered longshoreman who becomes involved with Marlon Brando’s enforcer.
North By Northwest was Alfred Hitchcock’s classic caper in which Saint’s character helps Cary Grant’s hide from police. Raintree Country was a period piece set in the late 1800s.
All Fall Down cast Saint as a woman involved with a playboy played by Warren Beatty. In 36 Hours, Saint played a nurse treating a captured American soldier in World War II.
All Fall Down plays at 3 p.m., 36 Hours at 5, Live from the TCM Classic Film Festival at 7, On the Waterfront at 8 and North by Northwest at 10.
