‘Verity’ tops North American box office with $32.6M

Oct. 4 (UPI) — The Anne Hathaway-Dakota Johnson thriller, Verity, is the No. 1 movie in North America, earning $32.6 million in receipts this weekend, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 is Resident Evil with $12.5 million, followed by Heart of the Beast at No. 3 with $11 million, Primetime at No. 4 with $8 million and Digger at No. 5 with $8 million.

Rounding out the top tier are Forgotten Island at No. 6 with $7.2 million, Avengers: Endgame at No. 7 with $4.4 million, Drishyam: The Conclusion at No. 8 with $2.7 million, Practical Magic 2 at No. 9 with $2.65 million and Spider-Man: Brand New Day at No. 10 with $2.45 million.
