Sept. 8 (UPI) — Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan defended her title against Stephanie Vaquer in the main event of WWE Raw.
Morgan started things off by entering and exiting the ring as she played with Vaquer. The championship bout on Monday was a rematch from WrestleMania 42.
Vaquer then brought the fight to Morgan, performing her signature Devil’s Kiss move in the ring before performing it a second time on the announcer’s table.
Morgan, as things started to look bleak, received help from her Judgement Day teammates, Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez.
Rodriguez pushed Vaquer off of the top rope before Becky Lynch then arrived onto the scene to even the odds. Lynch fought off Rodriguez and chased Perez into the back, but not before Perez handed the Women’s World Championship to Morgan.
Morgan used the belt as a weapon and then nailed Vaquer with the Oblivion to win the match and remain Women’s World Champion.
Also on Raw, Bayley, after weeks of speculation on her future in WWE, returned in order to prevent her rival Lyra Valkyria from gaining a spot in the upcoming Women’s Money in the Bank match.
Valkyria was competing against Sol Ruca and Maxxinie Dupri to earn the Money in the Bank spot.
Valkyria had the match won until Bayley made her surprise appearance and pulled the referee out the ring. Ruca took advantage of the situation and hit Valkyria with the Sol Snatcher to win the match.
Bayley beat down Valkyria after the match and attempted to Powerbomb her through a table before Valkyria was able to escape.
