Obama: 'We're Just Noticing' World Is 'Messy… Because of Social Media'

A day after President Barack Obama revealed to the world that he had no strategy to combat ISIS, he said that people are only noticing that the world is complicated, dangerous, and “messy” because of social media.

Obama, who perhaps wants to live in a pre-social media world, said he understood that, “if you watch the nightly news, it feels like the world is falling apart.” ISIS has used social media to recruit members and taunt opponents by posting videos of beheadings and mass executions on its sophisticated social media networks. They vowed to strike European countries and may be intent on hitting the United States at home. As Breitbart Texas has reported, federal officials along the border have been warned of what may be an imminent ISIS terrorist attack.

Obama said that the threat of Islamic radicalism today, though, doesn’t compare to the challenges faced during the Cold War. He said the world has “seen the barbarity of an organization like ISIL,” the Middle East has “been challenging for quite a while,” and “we will get through these challenging times just like we have in the past.”

But Obama admitted that he had no strategy to get through the “challenging times” during a Thursday press conference.

“I don’t want to put the cart before the horse,” Obama said before the White House somehow tried to blame the media for the comment on Friday. “We don’t have a strategy yet.”

Obama, along with First Lady Michelle Obama, is scheduled to attend the wedding of  MSNBC host Alex Wagner to White House Chef Sam Kass on Saturday.
