The Chicago Police Department arrested 30-year-old driver Uber driver Maxime Fohounhedo and charged him with one count of criminal sexual assault and one count of criminal sexual abuse for allegedly assaulting a 22-year-old woman in his apartment on November 16.

Police say the passenger was drunk when Fohounhedo drove her to his home, took her inside his apartment and assaulted her. The driver, an immigrant from the West African country Benin who moved to Chicago three years ago, then allegedly carried her back out to the car and told her, “I made you happy.”

The victim was treated and released at Swedish Covenant Hospital the day after the attack. A rape kit was performed.

Police used the victim’s cell phone GPS data to show that she was in the driver’s apartment on the night of the assault.

Uber officials say that Fohounhedo also broke Uber rules by sharing an Uber account with his wife, Sheena Lemon Fohounhedo.
