Ndamukong Suh Facing Disciplinary Action from NFL

Detroit Lions Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has become familiar with the NFL’s disciplinary protocol over his three-year career. Drafted in 2010, Suh has been ejected from a game, received a two game suspension, and paid numerous fines for his controversial on-field play. It didn’t take long into the 2013 season for Suh to put himself on the League’s radar once again.

After the Lions intercepted a pass in Sunday’s 34-24 victory over the Vikings, Ndamukong Suh threw his body at the knees of Viking center John Sullivan while his teammate sprinted for the end zone. Both Sullivan and Suh were well behind the play at the time and the illegal block drew a 15-yard penalty that negated a Detroit defensive touchdown.

In an NFL player poll, Ndamukong Suh was rated as the dirtiest player in the NFL, receiving four times as many votes as the player who came in 2nd. Detroit will need Suh to stay on the field and out of the NFL disciplinary offices if they are to improve on last year’s 4-12 record.
