A Republican candidate for state representative filed a lawsuit seeking the right to use legislative videos taken during proceedings of the Texas House of Representatives in his campaign advertising. He claims that the videos highlight votes and positions that his opponent incumbent Wayne Smith (R-Baytown) has taken that are inconsistent with what Smith tells constituents.

Lawyer for Operation Rescue Claims Planned Parenthood Invoices Show Fetal Tissue Purchases

Briscoe Cain, the Texas legal counsel for Operation Rescue says Planned Parenthood invoices show that fetal tissue was being purchased for medical research. Cain, and David Daleidon, the indicted president for Center for Medical Progress, claim they have financial documents which show wrongdoing on the part of Houston’s Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast.

Texas Cops Say City Infringing on Religious Rights by Refusing Bible Study

For years, police officers in the Beaumont Police Department have held a voluntary Bible study at the police station during their lunch hour. The City of Beaumont has now demanded that the officers cease doing so. The officers are sending a pre-suit letter saying the city is infringing on their religious rights.

Planned Parenthood Suing Texas in Fight for Medicaid Funding

Planned Parenthood is suing the State of Texas in a fight to continue to receive Medicaid dollars. Officials for the state stopped the abortion provider from receiving these funds after numerous undercover videos showed Planned Parenthood officials discussing the sale of baby parts and tissue. The state’s halt of dollars includes millions in federal dollars it distributes, as well as hundreds of thousands of state dollars.

Parties for the abortion clinics in Whole Woman’s Health, et al. at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, have filed a letter stating that 11 clinics will be forced to close down if the Court does not grant the abortion clinic’s motion to stay the Court’s June 9th opinion.
