32 All-Conference Teams; Duke Duo Makes 1st Team All-American

For the first time we failed to release a preseason Value Add Basketball team together because – well we were distracted by number crunching on a Presidential Election. However, today we at least put out “pre-conference play” All-Conference and All-American teams.

The emergence of Duke’s Grayson Allen in the Value Add Top 5 in a month in which he tripped two opponents provides another example of why The New York Post quoted Blue Devils point guard Jay Williams as saying, “No other black player from any other school is hated as much as a white player from Duke. None.”

Duke Wins Title Despite POY Kaminsky Dominating Okafor

Charles Barkley said the key to the national championship was whether Jahlil Okafor or Frank Kaminsky was in foul trouble. Okafor endured foul trouble, yet Duke won. Duke rallied for the win only after Kaminsky dominated Okafor so bad that Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski had to sit Okafor almost the entire last 12 minutes.
