$2.3M in Cocaine, Meth Found in Two Border Busts, Say Feds

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents seized more than $1 in cocaine at an immigration checkpoint between the border and San Antonio, Texas. Customs and Border Protection officers also seized $1.3M in methamphetamine in a border crossing smuggling attempt.

81 Migrants Found in Refrigerated Trailer near Texas Border

Border Patrol agents assigned to an immigration checkpoint in South Texas apprehended 81 migrants being smuggled in a refrigerated tractor-trailer. Elsewhere in the sector, Zapata Station agents disrupted another smuggling attempt and apprehended six foreign nationals.

Migrants Found Packed into Pickup Truck Toolboxes

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents discovered several illegal immigrants packed into the toolboxes of two pickup trucks in separate incidents. The smugglers placed the migrants in grave danger–including the risk of severe injury or death in the event of an accident.

50 Migrants Arrested in South Texas Smuggling Attempts

Border Patrol agents in the Laredo Sector disrupted three human smuggling attempts leading to the arrests of more than 50 migrants. The incidents occurred during a traffic stop and two immigration inspections at a checkpoint.

Smuggler Busted with Nearly 80 Migrants Locked in Refrigerated Trailer

Border Patrol agents in South Texas arrested a human smuggler who allegedly had nearly 80 illegal aliens locked inside a refrigerated tractor-trailer. The driver initially fled from the Border Patrol immigration checkpoint in an attempt to avoid arrest.

Human Smugglers Stuff Migrants into Duffel Bags, Say Border Patrol

Border Patrol agents from the Laredo Sector arrested two human smugglers after they found illegal immigrants stuffed inside duffel bags. The two arrests came on Friday at the Interstate 35 immigration checkpoint located between Laredo and San Antonio.
