The day after news broke that the presidential campaigns of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Ohio Gov. John Kasich agreed to split their efforts between Indiana on the one hand and Oregon and New Mexico on the other, Cruz confirmed that the two campaigns indeed “had conversations” and agreed to the strategy to divide and prevent GOP frontrunner Donald Trump from securing the nomination before the Republican National Convention.

Ted Cruz Calls For Oregon Protesters To ‘Stand Down’

“Every one of us has a constitutional right to protest, to speak our minds,” Ted Cruz told reporters in Iowa. “But we don’t have a constitutional right to use force and violence and to threaten force and violence against others.” He added that, “it is our hope that the protesters there will stand down peaceably, that there will not be a violent confrontation.”

Gun Control: The Only Time Liberals Want to Hear From Crime Victims

Opportunistic politicians such as Hillary Clinton and New Jersey Senator Cory Booker demonstrate shocking ignorance of existing gun laws by calling for “urgently needed” measures that have already been on the books for years. Their few new proposals are either meaningless gestures designed to evoke a sympathetic emotional response from listeners, or full frontal assaults on the U.S. Constitution that have no chance of passing either Congress (which no longer matters to totalitarian liberals) or the Supreme Court (which does.)

Obama Bullies His Nation of Criminals For Rejecting ‘Gun-Control’

Normal people think coercive government power should be primarily directed at criminals, so the Left is constantly trying to make the entire population see themselves as criminals. The more collectively guilty we all feel, the more prepared we are to submit to the power of a self-appointed “enlightened” ruling class. Gun control is not a goal — it is really a means to an end, a vehicle the Left would drive to gain even greater power.

Heroes of Umpqua: Unarmed Vet Shot 7 Times While Saving Students, Armed Vet Told to Stand Down

Let’s talk about the heroes of Umpqua instead of the psychotic killer. 30-year-old Army veteran Chris Mintz was shot seven times by the killer as he struggled to protect students. His aunt Sheila Brown told NBC News he served 10 years in the military, and had just started classes at the college. She also said he was on the wrestling team and had experience as a cage fighter. Several sources say Mintz was stationed at Fr. Lewis in Washington, and was deployed during his Army service.
