Incomplete Smuggler’s Tunnel Found Under Arizona Border

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents teamed up with law enforcement officials in Mexico to uncover an incomplete tunnel near the Port of Nogales DeConcini Crossing. Authorities said smugglers designed the tunnel to move drugs under the border and into Arizona.

Deceased Migrant Girl’s Father Did Not Report Illness for 7 Hours, Says CBP

CBP officials stated that the father of the seven-year-old girl who died in Border Patrol custody on December 7 claimed she was in good health until seven hours after they were apprehended. The father made mention of the girl being sick as they began a two-hour bus ride from the forward operating base to the Lordsburg Border Patrol Station.
