Gretchen Carlson's New Fox Show Debuts with Strong Ratings

Coming out of the gate with a strong showing, the October 1 debut of Gretchen Carlson’s new Fox News show, The Real Story With Gretchen Carlson, garnered more viewers in its 2PM time slot than the audience of MSNBC and CNN combined.

Carlson’s show attracted 1.135 million viewers. It is reportedly eight percent better than Fox’s 3rd quarter 2PM time slot stats and six percent better than its September ratings.

The Real Story beat CNN’s Newsroom, which hit 127,000 viewers, and MSNBC’s Newsnation, which only realized 93,000 viewers, in the important youth demographic.

As her show develops, Carlson promised to explore religion in America and said her guide would be the Midwestern values her parents instilled in her as she grew up in Anoka, Minnesota.
