Michelle O Targets 'Terrific' Christie as Rationale for 'Let's Move' Program

On Wednesday, First Lady Michelle Obama spoke out on NBC’s Today show about New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s lap-band surgery. After insisting that Christie’s weight was a “very personal matter,” and stating that “It’s something between the governor and his family, and I try not to comment on people’s personal choices,” and calling Christie “terrific” … she called him a fatso.

“There are millions of people like the governor who struggle with adulthood obesity,” Michelle couldn’t help adding, “and that’s one of the reasons why I think ‘Let’s Move’ is so important. Because we want to start working with kids when they’re young, so that they don’t have these challenges when they get older.”

If only Chris Christie had had Let’s Move when he was a kid, he wouldn’t have needed lap-band surgery. And we all could have avoided a week of evening news based on his waist size.
