Washington Post: Republicans Racist For Attacking Susan Rice

From the editors who brought you Mitt Romney snipping a gay kid’s hair, we now get the newest Obama-led anti-conservative meme: Republicans are racist for attacking UN Ambassador Susan Rice over her Libya lies. Today, the editorial board of the Washington Post explained that, “if there was a White House conspiracy to cover up the truth, Republicans have yet to produce any evidence of it — much less a connection to Ms. Rice, who had no involvement with the Benghazi attack other than those television appearances.”

Other than the repeated lie that the Benghazi attacks were a spontaneous protest arising from a YouTube video, and that Rice was the public face of those lies, there’s no evidence. And aside from the fact that the Administration still has not answered exactly why there was no security for our ambassador in Benghazi, why there was no military backup, and why they insisted on spinning the entire event as a protest gone wrong, there’s no scandal.

The Post continues:

Could it be, as members of the Congressional Black Caucus are charging, that the signatories of the letter are targeting Ms. Rice because she is an African American woman? The signatories deny that, and we can’t know their hearts. What we do know is that more than 80 of the signatories are white males, and nearly half are from states of the former Confederacy. You’d think that before launching their broadside, members of Congress would have taken care not to propagate any falsehoods of their own.

So when white representatives attack a high-ranking official for incompetence, they must be racist. Where was the Post when the left was savaging a different Rice – Condoleezza – under the Bush administration? Where was the left when white males were savaging Clarence Thomas for no reason?

The Post editorial board is the real bully here. And they’ll bully anyone who dares challenge the Great and Powerful O.
