Dershowitz On PRISM Scandal: 'Greenwald Hates America'
The Edward Snowden/NSA snooping story has certainly made some strange political bedfellows. As Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-CA) teams up with Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI) to champion the program and decry Snowden's actions as treasonous, Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) lambast the NSA policies as government over-reach and praise Snowden as a hero practicing civil disobedience.
Rep. Peter King (R-NY) went one step further than his congressional colleagues in not only denouncing Snowden but also targeting Guradian reporter Glen Greenwald for criminal investigation for publishing the leaked information about the PRISM program.
Thursday morning on the nationally syndicated "Geraldo" show, I interviewed constitutional law professor Alan Dershowitz. A champion of civil rights and a staunch supporter of the 4th amendment, Dershowitz echoed King's sentiments in the strongest fashion, even going so far as to calling Greenwald "not a real journalist" and charging that he "hates America."
