Graham Won't Confirm Brennan Without Release of Benghazi Drone Footage

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) says he will block John Brennan’s confirmation for CIA Director until the White House releases the drone surveillance footage of the Benghazi attack and the “emails on talking points that falsely claimed the attack was a protest that got out of control.”

He says the White House is holding back this information while simultaneously trying to ram Brennan through confirmation as CIA chief.

Graham has seized on the “the role of Congress… to provide oversight of the executive branch.” He says that when Brennan comes up, it is incumbent upon Senators to see what kind of role he may or may not have played in Benghazi from his counter-terrorism post.

In announcing his intention to block Brennan’s nomination until the video and emails are released, Graham also mentioned the survivors of the Benghazi attack, whom members of Congress have not been allowed to interview.

I want to know who the survivors are and for the appropriate committees to interview them. We know it was clear from the beginning [that this] was a terrorist attack. I want to know what kind of help they asked for.
