Trump Attacks Illicit ‘Clinton Cash’ Sources Over Indo-U.S. Nuclear Deal

In a damning exposé based partly on leaked documents, Donald Trump has accused the Clinton Foundation of receiving funds in 2008 from controversial Indian politician Amar Singh in exchange for support for the Indo-U.S. nuclear accord.

Last Monday, Breitbart News reported on the release of a hacked Democrat National Committee (DNC) internal memo detailing Hillary Clinton’s “vulnerabilities,” including scandals swirling around foreign Clinton Foundation donations engendered by the investigative New York Times bestselling book, Clinton Cash.

Following the disclosures, the Trump campaign released a 35-page booklet Friday accusing Hillary Clinton of impropriety regarding donations received by the Clinton Foundation, including the reception of funding from Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh and Confederation of India Industry in 2008 in a bid for support for the Indo-U.S. civil nuclear deal.

“Singh visited the US in September 2008 to lobby for a deal allowing India to obtain civilian nuclear technology; then-Senator Clinton assured him democrats would not block the deal,” the Trump report states.

The secret DNC document aired on Monday, titled “Clinton Foundation Vulnerabilities Master Doc FINAL,” reported the following “vulnerability” in a section titled, “CLINTON FOUNDATION INDIVIDUAL FOREIGN DONORS”:

“Indian politician Amar Singh, who had donated at least $1 million to the Clinton Foundation, met with Hillary Clinton in September 2008 to discuss an India-U.S. civil nuclear agreement.”

The Trump booklet, titled “Top 50 Facts About Hillary Clinton from Trump ‘Stakes Of The Election’ Address,” pounced on this point, citing a New York Times report on the list of donors who contributed to the family foundation managed by former President Bill Clinton and claiming that Hillary promised support from Democrats.

“Mr. Singh visited the United States in September to lobby for a deal allowing India to obtain civilian nuclear technology even though it never signed the Non-Proliferation Treaty. He met with Mrs. Clinton, who he said assured him that Democrats would not block the deal. Congress approved it,” the report states.

In the same year 2008, newly-elected President Barack Obama made Senator Hillary Clinton Secretary of State. Even though Hillary would be involved in drafting America’s foreign policy, her husband Bill, “in an agreement reached between Obama and him, released a list of more than 200,000 donors who gave significant amounts of donations to his family foundation,” the India Express reported

A new documentary film based on Peter Schweizer’s Clinton Cash is slated for global release the week of the Democratic National Convention.

The film, which explores how Hillary and Bill Clinton were able to amass a vast fortune of more than $200m after leaving the White House “dead broke” in 2001, has already received extensive critical acclaim.
