Mexican Authorities Rescue Kidnapped Notary Public near Border

REYNOSA, Tamaulipas — State police officers were able to rescue a local notary public who had been kidnapped earlier this week and arrested one of the kidnappers.

The rescue operation took place following an intelligence drive by the Tamaulipas Attorney General’s Office (PGJT) aimed are rescuing the local notary public, information provided to Breitbart Texas by the Tamaulipas government revealed.

Reynosa is a large industrial city immediately south of McAllen, Texas. The city has become a stronghold for one of the factions of the criminal organization known as the Gulf Cartel. In addition to drug trafficking, the criminal organization has been behind the record-breaking number of illegal aliens crossing through south Texas. The Gulf Cartel has also directed fuel thefts and most of the kidnappings, extortion, and other high profile crimes in the region.

Breitbart Texas was able to confirm that the kidnapping victim is a well known attorney and notary public in Reynosa by the name of Guillermo Garcia Adame. According to Tamaulipas authorities, two gunmen went into the victim’s office on Monday and forced him into an SUV at gunpoint.

On Wednesday morning, PGJT officers were able to rescue Adame from a stash house in the Los Almendros neighborhood. The local attorney was bound and gagged at the moment police officers rescued him. During the raid, authorities were able to arrest a gunman who was only identified as Jorge “N”. The gunman had a 9mm pistol at the time of his arrest and was previously tasked with securing the victim.
