Perry: Trump ‘Earned’ the Nomination, ‘We Need to Respect That’

Monday on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” former Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX), a once-candidate for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, told host Sean Hannity now that Donald Trump is the party’s likely nominee, the GOP needs to “respect” that and get behind him.

Perry called Trump a “no-brainer” when it comes to he versus former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and said they agreed on more than they disagreed.

“We agree on a whole more than we disagree on,” Perry said. “If you want to split hairs, if you want to get your panties in a wad over this issue and that issue, that’s fine, but the point is, Donald Trump is going to be the nominee. He earned it. And we need to respect that.”
