On Friday’s “McLaughlin Group,” The Daily Beast’s Eleanor Clift blamed the Democratic Party’s electoral struggles on “gerrymandered elections and midterm elections, when people don’t show up.”

Clift stated, in response to, columnist Pat Buchanan arguing that the Democratic Party is back to where it was in 1928, “The party has been wiped because of gerrymandered elections and midterm elections, when people don’t show up. And wait until November, Pat. The Democrats are coming back, thanks to Mr. Trump.”
