Exclusive: Interviews Show Public Knows Jodi Arias, Unaware of Kermit Gosnell's Crime Spree

Filmmakers Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney say they are making a TV movie about convicted baby killer and late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell because the media hasn’t done its job covering his horrific crimes.

To illustrate their point, McAleer conducted his own “man on the street” interviews to see which figure people knew better, Gosnell or Jodi Arias. For those who avoid 24/7 news channels, Arias is the woman who was convicted of killing her boyfriend, Travis Alexander, despite saying she acted in self defense.

Who should be more familiar to the public, a woman convicted of a single slaying, or an abortion doctor who snipped the spinal cords of babies among other monstrous charges?

The people interviewed in the video don’t recognize Gosnell, but they immediately respond when they see a picture of Arias. Even when McAleer feeds them whole parts of Gosnell’s story they haven’t a clue about who he is.

McAleer says the video speaks volumes regarding how the media dropped the ball, and it’s exactly why they are making a movie about Gosnell’s crimes with the help of IndieGogo.

“ABC correspondent Terry Moran described Kermit Gosnell as ‘America’s most successful serial killer,’ but no one knows his name or any of the details of his crimes, and they certainly know nothing about his victims,” McAleer told Breitbart News.

Why cover up Gosnell’s story? McAleer says it puts abortion in the most unflattering light possible, and that goes against the media’s pro-choice narrative.

McElhinney said the video illustrates the power of the media as well as how it can shape public opinion by deciding what stories should and shouldn’t be covered.

“Jodi Arias killed one man. Kermit Gosnell killed thousands of babies in a 40-year killing spree, but every one knows about Arias and no one knows his name. That’s shocking and shows the power of the establishment media … we are making a TV movie so that Americans no longer have the truth hidden from them.”

In a little more than a week, the duo’s IndieGogo campaign has earned more than $400,000.

“They are sending a message to the mainstream media and Hollywood that they are tired of the truth being censored,” she said.

There are 36 days left to contribute to the team’s Gosnell project.
