Former Clintonite Dee Dee Myers Joins Warner Bros Communications Team

The ties between Hollywood and the Democratic party got a little tighter this week.

A major studio has recruited a key player from the Clinton administration for a pivotal press role.

Warner Bros has hired former White House Press Secretary and political analyst Dee Dee Myers as EVP Worldwide Corporate Communications and Public Affairs. As part of the move, Warners’ nine-year veteran Sue Fleishman, who had that title, is stepping down. This comes after she helped guide the transition at the studio through several shakeups in a wild 2013. That included the ascension of new Warner Bros Entertainment CEO Kevin Tsujihara, which eventually resulted in the exits of the other two WB biggies angling for that gig — Warner Bros TV boss Bruce Rosenblum last May and Warner Brothers Pictures Group President Jeff Robinov the next month.

After leaving the White House, Myers co-starred as the liberal voice on CNBC’s Equal Time and worked as a consultant on the NBC series The West Wing.
