'Expendables' Cast Joins #BringBackOurGirls Campaign at Cannes

The Expendables, those aging but still deadly warriors at the heart of that he-man franchise, get things done with brawn and bullets.

The franchise’s cast gathered on a Cannes red carpet over the weekend armed with signs, not AK-47s.

Yes, Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes and several other cast members from the upcoming sequel Expendables 3 held signs saying “Bring Back Our Girls.” It’s a continuation of a campaign embraced by First Lady Michelle Obama to convince an extremist Islamic group to return 276 kidnapped Nigerian schoolgirls.

Actress Salma Hayek started the Cannes trend by flashing the same message while walking the red carpet the day before.
