Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Mr. and Mrs. Zoe Saldana.

36-year-old actress Zoe Saldana, who had previously dated Bradley Cooper, reveals in the July 2015 issue of InTouch magazine that her husband, Italian artist Marco Perego, took her last name after their marriage.

Saldana told the publication she and Perego secretly married two years ago, according to UsWeekly, and to be nontraditional, despite her resistance, the Italian insisted he take her surname.

“I tried to talk him out of it,” she said. “I told him, ‘If you use my name, you’re going to be emasculated by your community of artists, by your Latin community of men, by the world.'”

She added: “Marco looks up at me and says, ‘Ah, Zoe, I don’t give a s–t.'”

While the actress has always had public relationships with men, she did admit in 2013 she would be open to dating a woman.

“Up until now I’ve known my life to be with men. I’ve been attracted to the male species, but if one day I wake up and I want to be with a woman, I’m going to do that. And I know that I’m going to be supported by the creatures that have raised me and loved me,” she said.

She also left open the possibility of raising children with another woman.

UsWeekly reports she and Mr. Saldana had twin boys in November of 2014.

She tells InTouch for July’s issue:

Since I’ve been with Marco, I’ve been lowering my guard… Finally when we had our boys, I looked at my husband and I realized: I was meant for you and you were meant for me. I’ve always felt comfortable around men as long as they were friends. Now I finally feel comfortable with my lover. I don’t want to be separate. I want my church. I want to live inside the religion of our own little family.

Saldana’s full interview will be available on newsstands and for digital download June 12.
