Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice teamed up with world-renowned violinist Jenny Oaks Baker to perform a stirring, instrumental rendition of “Amazing Grace” in celebration of America’s 239th birthday this weekend.

“Amazing Grace has always held a special place in my heart,” the former George W. Bush adviser wrote on her Facebook page. “It seemed only appropriate to release the video in conjunction with the 4th of July weekend as we recognize the blessings we have in this country and the sacrifices of our servicemen and women for our freedom.”

The video features Grammy-nominated Baker and Rice performing an instrumental duet while overlaid photos depict America at war and soldiers being laid to rest.

“May the grace of God continue to shine on lovers of freedom everywhere,” reads a message at the conclusion of the video.

The song was also released as a single on iTunes. All proceeds from sales will go to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, a charity organization working to provide crucial aid and services to America’s veterans.
