As millions of Americans took to social media to remember those lost on September 11, 2001, former Entourage star Adrian Grenier posted a different message to mark the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.

“R.I.P. the 2,996 Americans who died in 9/11,” read Grenier’s post. “R.I.P. the 1,455,590 innocent Iraqis who died during the U.S. invasion for something they didn’t do.”

The actor deleted the post from his Instagram page amid backlash from other users, but did not delete a tweet of the same image.

Grenier, who previously referred to capitalism as oppressive, also attacked GOP frontrunner Donald Trump in August over his tweets about climate change.

“It’s extremely destructive,” the actor told The New York Daily News in regards to Trump.

Grenier continued:

We shouldn’t be arguing about whether or not it’s real…We should be arguing about how we’re going to make the world less populated.

I don’t even know why we’re paying attention. I mean, look, the naysayers out there are so far and few between.

The question is, how are we going to improve our lives – our quality of life – for people around the world?
