An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0 struck the greater Cleveland area in Ohio on Monday morning.

In a tweet, the City of Mentor reported that their police phone lines were flooded with calls about the earthquake and asked residents to call 911 with emergencies only. “We are waiting for the experts to affirm what was probably an earthquake here in NEO but please tune in to the news. Dispatch is being overwhelmed with 911 calls – we don’t know anymore than you do at this point,” the city’s official Twitter account said.
