Another Orwellian Wilders Trial in The Netherlands?

Jneid

Geert Wilders, on trial in Amsterdam for “inciting hatred and discrimination against Muslims,” has also been summoned by a court in The Hague because imam Fawaz Jneid is demanding €55,000 in “damages” from the Dutch MP. The so-called basis for this absurd lawsuit is that Wilders used footage which reveals Lebanese-born Mr Jneid’s true malevolence, copied from an interview shown on Dutch public TV, and edited into the short film documentary “Fitna“–but incorporated into Fitna without the good imam’s permission.

The “plaintiff” imam Jneid cursed filmmaker Theo van Gogh in a sermon a few weeks before he was murdered. Moreover, as per terrorist suspect Soumaya Sahla, van Gogh’s murderer, Mohammed Bouyeri, was present at the sermon. During his sermon, Fawaz intoned to Allah: “Cause Van Gogh a disease which all the inhabitants of the earth are unable to cure. Cause him suffering making him long for death. Blind the sight of Ayaan Hirsi Ali, give her brains a cancer. Give her tongue a cancer.” More recently imam Jneid has taken to radicalizing 5-14 year old Muslim children.

Wilders’ apt response to imam’s “damages” claims in 2008, shortly after Fitna was released on the internet, was as follows:

This hateful imam has cursed [former MP and Islam critic] Ayaan Hirsi Ali, [filmmaker and assassinated Islam critic] Theo van Gogh and [Iranian-born law professor] Afshin Ellian. And he has said the most terrible things. He shouts louder than a pig. I’m not going to pay him a single dime.

Words to stand by.
