On Tuesday, Allen West posted a statement on Facebook that shows he understands the Middle East better than President Obama — and leftist Jews — ever could:
Today on Capitol Hill there are lots of J-Street (Pro-Palestinian Jewish Organization) representatives, of course several have recognized me and wanted to chat. I just have to shake my head when these citizens ask me to believe in Iran and support a two-state solution. When I ask them if there is a willing peace partner on the other side, they respond by saying yes. When I ask them how does one negotiate with leaders who do not even recognize your existence, they respond with, you have to believe in them. Well, looks like I will have to save these people from themselves. I take a man at his word when he says he wants to kill me, I ain’t suicidal.
J Street, of course, is the organization funded by George Soros, devoted to weakening the state of Israel at every turn. As Lori Lowenthal Marcus, president of Z Street, reported after she attended the 2011 J Street conference in Washington, J Street would emasculate Israel entirely. According to Marcus, Daniel Levy, a founder of J Street, said, “Look, bottom line: If we’re all wrong, if we’re all wrong and a collective Jewish presence in the Middle East can only survive by the sword, it cannot be accepted, it’s not about what we do. Sound familiar? They hate us for what we are, not what we do. If that’s true, then Israel really ain’t a very good idea.” Marcus also reported that Bernard Avishai of J Street said, “There should be an Obama Blueprint in which Obama organizes world opinion to pressure Israel into making real concessions to the Palestinians.”
Allen West has a different perspective on the Islamic world. At a town hall meeting in February 2011, Rep. Allen West was asked by Nezar Hamze, Executive Director of the Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR) to note the passage in the Quran where it commands Muslims “to carry out attacks against Americans and innocent people.” West, pissed off, said, “don’t try to blow sunshine up my butt.”
Compare J Street’s stance on Israel with West’s. In 2009, he wrote:
We face the resurrection of the original enemy of the Jewish people, a resurgent Islamic fundamentalism evidencing itself in totalitarian, imperialist design. This time it has morphed itself using 21st century technologies still retaining a 7th century mentality, utilizing terrorism internationally to promote its perverse aims. One of those objectives is the destruction of the State the world agreed to support in creating Israel. In keeping with previous traditions established by Muhammad, the modern Islamic warriors promote Taquiyya, lying to promote Islam. They also, just as Muhammad, use the Treaty of Hudabiyya as a model to delay and deceive their enemies until they are ready to strike. Under Yasser Arafat some 200 agreements were never honored.
Why would we trust any word coming from the mouth of the psychopathic delusional leader of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? The mad mullahs, insane imams, and combative clerics are again calling for the supremacy of Islam, no different from earlier centuries.
The bottom line: Allen West loves Israel. J Street does not.
