Dershowitz to Newsmax: Romney's Right, Ahmadinejad Should Be Indicted

Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz, a committed Democrat and supporter of Barack Obama, said last night that Barack Obama was wrong and Mitt Romney was right on the one issue that clearly divided them: whether Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad should be indicted for war crimes. Romney said yes, not once but twice, but Obama would not go along.

Dershowitz said,

“I didn’t see much disagreement between them except on one issue — and that is on the indictment of Ahmadinejad. Romney twice mentioned that he thought Ahmadinejad should be indicted. I certainly agree with that … (Ahmadinejad)  violated various international conventions by inciting genocide and the president didn’t comment on that at all.”

Last month Dershowitz warned Obama that his treatment of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would put Florida at “substantial risk” in the November election.
