Dec. 11 (UPI) — Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt experienced discomfort in a lung and was treated at a local hospital, the team announced Thursday.
The Steelers said the incident occurred Wednesday at the team facility. Watt would not attend practice Thursday in Pittsburgh, and is questionable to play in the Steelers’ Week 15 matchup with the Miami Dolphins on Monday.
The seven-time Pro Bowl selection, four-time first-team All-Pro and 2021 Defensive Player of the Year totaled 54 combined tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, seven sacks, seven passes defensed, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and an interception through his first 13 starts this season.
The Steelers (7-6) sit atop the AFC North and currently hold the No. 4 seed in the AFC. They allowed the fifth-most yards in the NFL.
The Steelers and Dolphins (6-7) will kick off at 8:15 p.m. EST at Acisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.
