Lefty Starbucks CEO Endorses Obama

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz announced Thursday that he is endorsing Barack Obama for reelection.

Big deal. Schultz deviously posed as a moderate in August of 2011, calling for a cessation on campaign donations until both parties could agree on how to deal with the country’s fiscal issues.

Some moderate. Take a look at Schultz’s campaign donations, starting in 2007:

He hedged his bets in 2007, making sure he backed the winner. He donated $2300 to John Edwards in March, $2300 to Barack Obama in June, and $2300 to Hillary Clinton in October. Schultz was Machiavellian; he wasn’t going to commit until he knew which horse would win the race. Sure enough, the next donation was just before the 2008 election; he donated another $2300 to Obama on October 24, 2008.

Once Schultz knew Obama was in power, he immediately donated $2000 to his home state senator, wacko leftist Patty Murray, voted most liberal member of the Senate in 2008. He then followed that with two $2400 donations in 2010 as she sought reelection.

But Schultz had supported leftist senators before; in 2007 he gave $2300 to Max Baucus of Montana, who voted against an amendment that prohibited funds from being disbursed to groups that encouraged or performed abortions.

He followed that in 2009 by giving $2000 to Ron Wyden, Senator from Oregon, who voted against barring HHS grants to organizations that performed abortions and also voted no on banning partial birth abortions.

In 2010, he gave $2400 to Congresswoman Terri Sewell of Alabama, a leading member of the Congressional Black Caucus who led the Democratic walkout to protest the Republican contempt vote against Attorney General Eric Holder.

In 2011, Schultz gave $5000 to Washington Senator Maria Cantwell, who describes herself as 100% pro-choice and was one of 34 senators to vote against the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003.

Anyone who thinks Schultz is anything but another left-wing multi-millionaire should wake up and smell the coffee.
