Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush released a video today to celebrate the Mexican holiday Cinco De Mayo, pointing to the Hispanic ties in his family.

Speaking Spanish in the video, Bush notes that May 5 is a day that the United States celebrates the relationship with Mexico and the “great contributions of the Mexican-American community to our country.”

“For me this relationship is very profound,” Bush explains. “My wife Columba was born in Mexico, my family has strong ties with Mexico, and I have great respect and affection for our neighbors.”
