On August 26 CBS reporter Allison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward were shot and killed just off camera during a live interview.
The incident occurred in Bridgewater Plaza in Moneta, Virginia, around 6:45 a.m.
According to CBS News, Parker and Ward worked for the WDBJ-TV affiliate in Roanake. Station manager Jeff Marks said they do not know a motive and that police are still searching for the person who carried out the heinous crime.
Marks said, “We heard screaming and then we heard nothing.”
